M&S LOLA eyeshadows SS14

M&S LOLA eyeshadows SS14

If you’re a regular reader of Cityscape Bliss, you may have already read about the new Lola collection (sold in M&S) a few weeks back (& if not – you can read about it now – here!). This time it’s not about nail polish though – it’s about something slightly more exciting – eyeshadows. Particularly the new Lola SS14 Spirited Away collection!

The new Lola SS14 Spirited Away collection is spot on trend – crazy brights with some gorgeous subtle pastels. Each eyeshadow sits in a pretty matte compact (quite Nars-esque matte, but with a clear lid so you can see the shades easily) and contains 2.8g of product – which for a mono eyshadow ain’t too bad!

The consistency is quite a let down for me – one day I apply them and they seem really lovely & buttery; another day they’re uber chalky. Maybe it’s me doing something wrong – or maybe the shades differ in consistency, because the lighter shades (more usable for everyday wear) seem to work much better for me than the more vivid ones.  You can buy these in M&S beauty hall for £10 a pop or throw them into your basket in the M&S online store here. I love the massive selection of shades – they have about 10 different shades of greens which I might need to at least swatch next time I’m in M&S.

Have you tried any Lola make-up yet? If so, what do you think about it?
