3 tips for reducing your family’s food bill this month

3 tips for reducing your family's food bill this month

Most families spend upwards of £100 on food bill every single week, and that comes to a lot of money by the end of each month. So, you probably want to find ways of reducing your spending and cutting back, right? Well, there are three ideas below that should give you some inspiration and point you in the right direction.

Make shopping lists and stick to them

The worst thing you can do is walk into your local food store without first writing a shopping list. You will succumb to the psychological techniques those businesses employ to encourage impulse buys. You need to avoid that at all costs if you’re trying to cut back on spending this year.

Buy your fruit and vegetables from markets

Some people purchase their fruit and vegetables from the supermarket, and that’s a terrible idea. If you visit a local market or a small grocery store, there is a decent chance that you can haggle over the price you pay. If you need advice for that, check out the infographic at the bottom of this page.

Look for discount codes and coupons online to save on food bill

There are hundreds of discount and coupon websites online these days, and it’s always worth checking them before you visit your local shop. That is because you might find some fantastic deals that help you to save a fortune.

You should now have a decent idea about how to reduce your family’s food bill. Now you just need to put some of this advice into action the next time you plan on visiting your local store. Good luck!
