I have to confess to something. And it’s really bad. I mean bloody horrible. Honestly. Okay, here we go. Since we moved to Prague I haven’t managed to buy a cat scratch post for Pippin & Cookie. I know, I’m the WORST cat mother. But the good thing is that I’m trying to make up for my parenting fail by building my own cat play centre (I’ve done as much as drawn a sketch on a piece of paper but I swear this weekend is the one when I go & get all my supplies – and trust me, it’s going to be epic!). Meanwhile, I’ve decided to get each a fancy bed. It’s not like they wouldn’t already have a bed (or two) each, but you can never have enough napping spots around the house, so I’ve heard. Today I’d like to introduce you to Pippin’s new sun lounger – or the best miniature cat chair I’ve ever seen, as I like to call it. Plus 5 more beautiful cat beds that you will want to spoil your own baby cat with.
5+1 beds you need to get for your cat

THE SUN LOUNGER
I love how fancy this little chair is. And the fact that it’s an actual chair is just beyond me. It’s kind of like one of those retro rattan egg chairs that people have in their conservatories, isn’t it? I originally thought that Pippi would be a little reserved and perhaps feel a little funny getting into it but man was I wrong! It took less than a minute for her to jump into it and nestle in. She’s only had it for a week or so but has already managed to have 542798432 naps in it. And whenever Cookie tries to sneakily get in, Pippin’s immediately there telling him off with her little annoying squeals or straight up biting his paws for daring to step into her cosy lounger.
THE CAT COTTAGE
I’ve wanted this cat cottage for the longest time but unfortunatelly they are super expensive to ship to the Czech Republic! What a bummer! If you’re lucky enough to be in the UK then I urge you to get one of these – they are literally undestructable because they are made out of solid wood. You can pretty much customise them as you like (the family that make them are ever so lovely & very approachable!) but I love this particular one for the gorgeous manila rope detailing and a carpet roof (so your little clawy friend can leave your actual carpet alone, ha!). All you need is a fluffy rug (those white IKEA ones are Cookie’s favourite) & you’re pretty much set for life!

THE SIDE TABLE
So you’re looking for a cat bed but you’re flat is so so tiny that a huge cat house or a wooden cottage would take up too much of your precious space? Try this cat bed/side table combination. This cute cat bed comes flatpacked which is pretty handy plus you can choose whether you put a cushion on the top for your cat to be able to lounge on it or whether you leave it without it and use this bed as a stool for some extra seating options in your living room or perhaps as a side table next to your bed or sofa. Pretty ingenius if you ask me!
THE FELT BED
This handmade felt cat bed is the perfect hideaway for every little feline out there. Sometimes your cat just ought to be sick of your shit – which you can’t really blame them for, can you? Poor thing are listening to your blabbering all day and all night, then at night you’re constantly trying to spoon them you lonely bastard so it’s only understandable they need a secret den which you can’t squeeze into and annoy them any further. I love how bold but still insanely cute this felt bed is. And it would make a gorgeous addition to any cheerful interior! Just imagine it on a nice red toned Persian rug, oh yes!

THE HUNGRY SHARK
Do you remember when Cookie got his first shark bed? He was absolutely over the moon! Whenever I went away on a holiday the shark had to go to the cattery with Cookie (and then it would come back full of fleas, just like Cookie). It was super easy to wash (and deflea) and I wasn’t even too mad when it fell apart because it only cost a couple of dollars off Aliexpress but it lasted years and years before we had to part with it.
THE HAMMOCK
Okay, I literally can’t even. Just look at it. LOOK AT IT! It’s a cat hammock!! I’m so tempted to get one for Pippin but I’m a little vary whether she’d actually sleep in it. I mean I do get just as excited for human hammocks but I can never actually lie in them. They just twist and turn and are ever so fiddly, don’t you think? But perhaps Pippi wouldn’t think so, would she?

Don’t you just LOOOVE cat beds?
They are just so much cuter than human beds, right?
