Hi, I’m Tereza – a 30-something year old blogger based in Prague (with half of my heart still in Birmingham, UK!) with an Eastern European accent (although you could argue that the Czech Republic is kinda in the centre, rather than in the East), two kittens (my bestest of friends Cookie & a naughty little devil Princess Pippin) and a penchant for nude lipsticks (I insist that Beige by Bobbi Brown is the ultimate perfection), ficus plants (my aim is to collect all 500 species, still have about 491 to go!) & peculiar curio shop finds (am I the only one mesmerised by vintage forks and jam spoons?). Over the years of consumerism ridden blogging I’ve learnt that buying the newest sheet masks and searching for the blackest eye liner isn’t healthy for me (and might not be for you either). That’s why I’ve changed the direction for Cityscape Bliss. It has now become a low impact lifestyle blog full of tips on how to live life with intent, how to appreciate and enjoy the little things whilst also saving the environment a little. It’s totally okay to own and buy beautiful things but it should be also totally okay to remember which shades of Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks you actually own (and not because it’s all of them!).

What is Cityscape Bliss?
Cityscape Bliss is a low impact lifestyle guide showing you the way towards life with intent:
- Cityscape Bliss is a UK/CZ low impact lifestyle blog – for years it followed a journey of a girl who moved from a tiny Czech village to the second city in the UK with just a carry on (which contained a pair of jeans, two tops, one jumper and FIVE books including the complete works of Woody Allen, no regrets). Since the very end of 2017 it’s been following a journey of a girl who moved, together with 2 very naughty cats, from the second city in the UK to Prague, the Czech capital. It has become a journal full of beauty & style tips, home decor inspiration & DIY projects, easy recipes, travel diaries, cat toy hauls and fitness reflections, now all centred around low impact, intentional life.
- Cityscape Bliss as a source of free tips & tricks on living life with intent whilst creating low impact on the environment – it offers an in-depth resource library full of tips & tricks from myself and other bloggers alike. Living an intentional life with low impact can be daunting and sometimes you just feel like you need a checklist. There’s no single list of things to do to enter the realm of sustainable living where things are replaced by objects you treasure and feelings of anxiety and pushed aside by balcony gardening. But there are most definitely tips that can guide you in that direction. Let’s have a look at sustainable shopping options, personal development books that are actually worth it, sustainable swaps in your home and much more!
- Cityscape Bliss is a sustainable guide for your Prague holiday – since I’m based in Prague and have been for the past two or so years, I have learnt to know some of the best tricks and tips for sustainable living in the city. Apart from the traditional touristy advice on which parts of the city are the most beautiful to stay in, I can also tell you where the best flea markets are, where to find some of the cutest package free zero waste shops, which souvenirs you absolutely need to get and I might even tell you some of the hidden gems of sites which you totally need to see and visit when you’re in Prague for your holiday.
And why should you stick with me?
I have been part of this blogging shebang for a couple of years now. Eight years, to be exact. And I’ve been loving every minute of it, even when Princess Pippin made tiny teeth marks in my laptop, even when the Gossip Guru was still a thing. It started as a beauty review blog – because the tom boy I used to be wanted to fit in with all the pretty girls she met at the university. Very soon after the launch (if I can even call it that – create a blog – new – simple template – boom!), Cityscape Bliss was long-listed for Marie Claire Blog Awards in the category Best Beauty Blog (look here!). As the months and years went on, I outgrew Cityscape Bliss – or to be correct, I let it grow with me. It became a side hustle. A blog to job platform where I was teaching other bloggers to make hard dollar from their blogging passion. Then I figured out that perhaps blogging shouldn’t be just a full time job. If you absolutely love it and love it as a hobby, then keep it at that. Don’t be afraid to monetise it but if keeping your blog and your work separate feels right to you then do it!
Now this remote corner of the internet is a scrapbook of my life – you know, one of those really colourful ones with postcards and little Polaroid photos poking out from the pages. I like to think that it’s one of those that inspires you to make your life just as colourful – in a simple, village girl kind of way. I’m your real-life proof that anyone can have a blog, no matter whether your passion lies in pretty dresses, history books or visiting castles in France. After figuring out that life driven by consumerism and the ownership of things isn’t a particularly happy life, I’m here to show you that there are other options. Living life with intent whilst creating low impact on the environment around us is much more fulfilling, calming and happy. I’ll show you how shopping at farmers markets can actually be fun, how reading books printed in 1800’s broadens your horizons, that a natural beauty routine is enough, that buying a second hand cabinet is perfectly okay and much much more!
