Easy oregano & garlic bread

Especially delicious with homemade butter!

Servings 1 loaf

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups plain flour
  • 1 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 sachet yeast
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp oregano

Instructions

  1. Stir yeast into a cup full of warm water and pour into the bowl with flour, salt, sugar, garlic powder and oregano.

  2. Mix with a wooden spoon and then knead for about 5 minutes until you have a smooth loaf. 

  3.  Leave in a warm place for 20 minutes to rise. 

  4. Place onto a baking tray and cut X in the loaf. Bake in a pre-heated oven (180 degrees) for 20 minutes.
