Especially delicious with fresh cream on top!
Mix flour, softened butter, quark, baking soda and eggs.
Keep whipping until the dough is sticky but it must not be runny.
Pour cooking olive oil into a pan – make sure there’s about 2-3cm so the doughnuts can float on top. Heat up to medium.
Use spoon to scoop out dumpling shaped bits of dough and flip them in the pre-heated oil.
Fry until they are golden from both sides (about 3 minutes on each side).
Either sprinkle icing sugar on top or cover the doughnuts in it completely.
